Package: mate-desktop Version: 1.8.1+dfsg1-3+deb8u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I am encountering exactly the same issue as the one described in archived bug #770435. Summary of the issue: The layout applied to the keyboard is English, despite being set to French in the MATE conf applet.
