I finally solved the problem by removing nvidia packages (had no nvidia
card) and reconfigured gdm3

Sorry that I thought it was related to systemd.
Strange that dist-upgrade installed/reconfigured nvidia even if I had no
nvidia card but
can we then change the affected package from systemd to gmd3 - mabye
this is then better related?
