GnomeBluetooth.patch cannot be applied without applying
60-gnome-bluetooth-3.8.patch before.
I've unified patches, this one should work alone.

For those who are running jessie/testing, and may not have the fixed
package for an unknown amount of time, here's a patch that worked for
me.

I'm on jessie and I was affected since the update today... After
finding this bug I updated gnome-shell to 3.4.2-9, and now the problem
is gone :)

Hi, just had this problem with gnome-bluetooth 3.8.1-1 from debian
jessie (same error messages, same symptom - gnome-shell fails to start).
Downgrading to 3.8.1-1 (version in wheezy) fixed it.
Has this really been fixed in 3.4.2-9 ?? 3.8.1-1 is definitely affected.

gnome-shell 3.4.2-9 hasn't shown up in the archive yet AFAICT, so I
manually applied Emilio's proposed patch to bluetooth.js. This did
not help; I get exactly the same startup crash except that the error
message now says "GnomeBluetoothApplet.BluetoothKillswitchState is
undef
