Running Wheezy and the bug is fixed for me after update as of 05/12/12.

This is very surprising though, I don't understand why.
Because, as I wrote before, according to dconf-editor it was already set to
gnome-terminal.
Hmmm...using dconf-editor to set the value of a key isn't enough; you
probably forgot to explicitly restart nautilus after doing so.

I have the same problem since a couple of days too.
Workaround:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal exec
gnome-terminal
It is already set to gnome-terminal for me (according to dconf-editor).
I don't know if it is related but when I launch a script from nautilus, and

Since some times nautilus-open-terminal is always opening the terminal
with the current directory set to $HOME. This is making n-o-t a bit
useless.
I'm unfortunately not too sure since which update this is happening.
