Thank for your following up and confirmation that intensive writing can occur
with some applications.
Even if this is application related, I think boinc should offer to:
- control the application. Ex: max write allowed is x Mb/unit (would be a good
solution)
and/or
- report the appl

please consider changing away from the WorldCommunityGrid to something
else, say, Einstein@Home, which I found to use only 10% of say
FightAids@Home for regular runs and I did not find such extreme bits,
yet. To me, it is the application providers to
