Hi,
installing nis in a chroot with
chroot $DIR apt-get install nis
causes nis to break down on the main system. E.g. sudo says:
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: Domain not bound
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: Domain not bound
sudo: unknown uid: 1009
