I now can reproduce the problem; it occours with some skins, and not
with others; I tested some,
"panorama" skin is fine,
"crystal", "mediaportal", "noia", do not properly display some polish
characters
As a temporary workaround, you can use the

The polish fonts arent supported by the program. It is strange since linux is
international and can handle lot of fonts over the world.
Polish fonts are usually very very well supported by Linux, even better than
windows xp.
