Hi. Thanks! It looked like my nvidia video drivers weren't setup in xorg.conf (I removed my xorg.conf previously). After setting up xorg.conf with 'nvidia-xconfig' and restarting kdm, xvinfo now reports info about my card (it said it couldn't find an adaptor before), and the Sid version of VLC dis
