Yes, the HAL daemon should run already when the chipcard daemon is started.

Hi Micha,
hal is installed and running.
But I have to say that in the same upgrade operation, hal gave me error
messages at stop and start time. As a workaround, I have modified prerm
and postinst to exit with "0". Was it a bad thing ?
