There is a test case on

unstable/testing. From the ChangeLog, it should be fixed in either
4.008 or 4.009, and will have been uploaded to Debian in 4.011-1.

- - reinstall the stock libaprutil1 from Debian
- - install libdbd-mysql-perl from http://people.debian.org/~sf/521117/
- - restart apache

running mod perl & DBI.
I don't know if the fault is in apache, mysql or perl but hopefully someone can
