sorry, I missed the last mail somehow.
I used the ALSA output, no esd, pulseaudio etc. How can I verify the
different sampling rates? All I can say is that I was able to use
different applications like MythTV, mplayer etc. at the same time
without any issues. As soon as I use _any_ gstreamer

1999, and it's really bad that gstreamer breaks this now for me.

If I play music via a gstreamer application and then play other music with
another application, I get the following behaviour:
1. I start to play the first stream via gstreamer (I tested rhytmbox,
quodlibet, xfmedia)
