I'd prefer if we could avoid introducing a new configuration variable
for this. How about implicitly always using SSL if the user specifies
port 465?

some smarthosts provide smtp (auth) (only) over an ssl protected
connection, but don't support TLS or ...
So the following .reportbugrc settings would allow reporting bugs
