Hi folks,
As noted, this bug needs to be fixed for testing/unstable, not just for
experimental; so I've prepared an NMU with the attached trivial,
self-evident patch.
The NMU will be uploaded to incoming shortly.

uploading the new upstream release to experimental does not fix the
problem for the etch release. the control file for matplotlib 0.87 in
unstable needs to be updated to include the dependency on python-tk.
note matplotlib 0.90

Severity: important
matplotlib now defaults to TkAgg.
But there is no dependency on python-tk.
I mark this as important, as it makes the package unusable
by default, but it's easy to fix by the average admin
(apt-get install python-tk). Others migh
