installing sarge or etch with linux 2.4 is okay, but very slow and it
hangs a lot. trying to install both with linux 2.6 is still not
possible. after installing i always compile 2.6 with libata_enabled=1 in
/linux/drivers/scsi/libata_core.c. this fixes the prob
