Hello again all,
I have to work on this server again, and the console spam problem is
present again.
I removed nut 2.4.3-1.b1 & safe-upgraded to 2.4.3-1.1 and still no
change.
After multiple reboots with & without any other USB devices plugged in
there's no relief unless the UPS is disconnected.

I don't have a killall command, so I look at htop to find the
usbhid-ups process.
I see one from nut, sure:
Being that there are no USB or HID devices attached to the
machine, is it safe to assume that this is the only process using
usbhid-ups already?
In any case, I just checked syslog & the

I don't follow what you're saying, but here's the output of the
requested command.
# ps -elf | grep usbhid-ups
1 S nut 1508 1 0 80 0 - 4159 - 00:45 ?
00:00:07 /lib/nut/usbhid-ups -a cyberpower
1 S nut 1677 1 0 80 0 - 4180 - 00:58 ?
00:00:10 /lib/nut/usbhid-u

When usb.conf is configured to use driver "usbhid-ups", and port=auto,
functions are proper except syslog & local consoles are filled with the
messages below.
As mentioned previously, local consoles a

Package: nut
Version: 2.0.1-3
This is the spam message:
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: ctrl urb status -32 received
I never once saw this message until after I installed and configured
nut.
Spam begins during boot and continues infinitely until reboot or nut is
stopped.
