About 2 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding
xmessage problems when computing the geometry. Did you reproduce this
problem recently? With Xorg/Etch?

If I run "xmessage foo", the window it displays does not display the
text, because it is a few pixels too short. It's apparently scrolled the
text out of the window. It is 51 pixels high according the the window
