Hi,
The problem I has is that I loose IPv6 connectivity to some of my
services because openbsd-inetd is started before xinetd and by default
openbsd-inetd doesn't enable ipv6 for services. This could cause
serious troubles to some people if they loose access to their boxes.
IMHO, the best way to

xinetd by default does not read from /etc/inetd.conf, nor does it by default
replicate the contents of /etc/inetd.conf to /etc/xinetd.conf when
installed. The fact that xinetd doesn't stop/divert openbsd-inetd is
therefore not grave, as the package should be perfectl

Package: xinetd
Severity: normal
Upon installation xinetd replaces the /etc/init.d/inetd, which may or
may not be desired. Nevertheless the openbsd-inetd, which is needed for
ipv6-enabled inetd environments uses /etc/init.d/openbsd-inetd which is
left alone. This breaks the takeover of /etc/inetd.
