An update on the dclock update issue ;)
I noticed that fbpanel updates dclock tooltip content at each midnight.
Consequently, this tooltip *can* be used to provide correct time
information, *as long as* its date format only includes fields that
change at midnights.
Examples:

Hi!
I've just finished to configure fbpanel and noticed something weird in the
dclock plugin.
It seems that its tooltip is not updated whenever it pops up.
I would like to set it so that it displays a more detailed time.
This is the relevant ~/.fbp
