Followup-For: Bug #312093
Why is this bug still open?
As far as I can tell,
a) netspeed has fixed #312093 by using libgtop2
b) libc6 has fixed #312554 in libc6 2.3.5
so this bug has been resolved and should thus be closed.

The "Netspeed Preferences" dialog allows chosing the "Network device"
from a list of devices in a dropdown box. On this system, the same
interface shows up multiple times, and selecting different versions for
