Hello, I experience the exact same problem on my laptop (Core2duo 64bit, 945GM/GMS/940GML Intel video card). I as well need to kill vegastrike and restart X to get the mouse cursor back. After I kill vegastrike I notice a python backtrace, but I have no way to paste it. I'll try to reproduce it
