tags 121262 wontfix thanks Keeping /etc/skel clean is indeed the local sysadmin job. If, after a bash upgrade, *.dpkg-{old|dist} files remain in /etc/skel and later get copied to the newly created users home directories, I think it is the local admin responsibility. I will not request shadow upst
