My configuration of crypttab is
gianluca@debian64 ~ $ more /etc/crypttab
criptodb6 /dev/sdb6none luks,timeout=10
to boot the system waits for the password indefinitely.
the timeout of 10 seconds doesn't work.

from gdm3 I select gnome3 o gnome-default environment and login
screen black and come back to gdm logon
