I did it today and it seems to work fine.
No more stack traces when unplugging external disks or pendrive.
Nevertheless I have a trace when unplugging the wifi dongle. I'm going to open

But I have to say that in the same upgrade operation, hal gave me error
messages at stop and start time. As a workaround, I have modified prerm
and postinst to exit with "0". Was it a bad thing ?

erous /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon stop an start.
Each time, the start was interactive, I can leave it with CTRL-C only,
this stops it of course.
I can't tell you any more. I have noticed that this pb happened with the
one of clamav-freshclam but I don't know if they are related.

I don't think it is totaly fixed. All people who went thru 0.90.2.2 meet
the problem. I have manualy changed the owner. The solution is perhaps
to change the owner to clamav in the postinst...
