macro instead,

Just in case...have you enabled the curve of at least one sensor? I mean
the checkbox in the column 'Enabled' of the table?
Could you please send me a screenshot of the main application?
What is you desktop environment? Gnome-Shell?

I suspect that gtk_status_icon_is_embedded returns FALSE due to the
moment it is called during the startup. The log information might help
me to better understand what goes wrong.
