dditional configuration issue I discovered is that
package libkokyu-dev doesn't depend on libkokyu-6.0.1 (although all the
other {ACE|TAO} -dev packages do depend on their underlying base library).

And seriously, Thanks for all the time you put in maintai
with localhost as normally
configured by debian). I tried all of the above with ACE_ROOT set to
/usr/lib/ace and unset as well with no apparent difference. I may be
missing something obvious to others.
