The dh_installmenu manpages translations have several errors due to
outdated translations. Attached is a file with the 3 changes necesary i
have found already.
Basicaly:
s\usr/lib/menu\usr/share/menu\g
s\usr/lib/menu-method\etc/menu-
onday but i will took a
look to know how they do it. Anyway, that field should not be used for
this issues, so i will have a talk with our University Network Man to
see how he has configured the switches.
Thx in advanced for everything and sorry.

Hi again!
I attach the outp of tcpdump as you request me.
For more info, my MAc address is: 00:0C:6E:89:E2:FB and it should give
me an 172.25.51.90 ip, instead of a 172.25.51.2xx.

The dhcp server is a Cisco switch. Some servers have "static" ip given
by a dhcp server (based on mac).
When asking for such ip, if retrieves another and not the assigened one.
With Windows and RedHat System, everything works properly.

Anibal: you can take the packages from

The reported information is ok. That's the kernel framebuffer options
and has nothing to do with the X11 configuration.
I'm going to close this bug. If you want, you can open a Wishli
fo running it as root as a normal user.
Anyway i will take a look to it.
