I can't download videos from dailymotion.com using the version of
youtube-dl in sid (2015.06.04.1-1).
Upgrading to upstream version 2015.08.09 fixes the problem.
i carelessly used the word crashes when writing the bug report for squeeze.
i checked the behaviour in a squeeze box, and it behaves the same as in
wheezy.
it should be read: thunar freezes when folder contain large images, instead
of crashes.
my appologies for that.

i realised last week that this patch hasn't been inserted in squeeze's
libgtk2.0
yet, as drag and drop broke on our machines upon upgrade.
i strongly suggest this patch should be added to squeeze. we used the
patched version for a year with no problems.

Apparently there's a patch for this bug.
Check the following website (last message is the most important!):
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=620240
Could someone tell me how do I apply this patch in debian squeeze?
Package: libgtk2.0-0
Version: 2.20.1-2
Severity: important
if i create a vnc gnome session, and connect to it, i won't be able to drag and
drop on the entire gnome session. this decrease the usability of gnome
drastically for some applications.
it's the same bug as described here for ubuntu:
http
Package: vnc4server
Version: 4.1.1+X4.3.0-37
Severity: important
I can't use drag'n drop using the mouse from my client machine, for example to
move a file from one folder to another, when connected to the tightvncserver in
the gnome desktop environment. The same bug is valid for tightvncserver.
Thanks a lot for the information! I followed your instructions, and used the
unstable repos. I haven't tested it extensively, but it seems to be working
properly.
Cheers

Sorry for the random bits of information, and any hints are welcome.
