I don't know what you mean "lvs directly from the command line".

Hi,
the MAC address is changed by the startup script /etc/init.d/decnet.
The Ethernet lookup service gives me:
AA0004 DEC Local logical address for systems running Internet

AA0004 DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION IEEE Registration Authority
I don't k
to fix your address on eth0, you can do
ifdown eth0
ip link set address $(ethtool -P eth0 | sed -e 's/Permanent address: //;') dev
eth0
ifup eth0
maybe, this can be useful for a while for someone...
Problem: I just try to boot kernel 2.6.39 and the bad address is still
there :(, will continue
Hi,
I have the same issue. We have static DHCP on LAN and I have got a guest
IP address now :(.
The driver logs the right MAC address, but ifconfig, ip, dhclient reads
a strange address:

Hi,
I have this problem too. This is a duplicate to bug #569775 assigned to
network-manager now.
I found this problem on two virtual machines installed recently.
The machines were installed using the PXE and the DHCP was left
the network interface configuration method.
I did some changes in the /
Hi,
I have a similar problem. Not too much load I think. Only some big rsync
running (heavy NET and HDD load) and some normal work on desktop
(desktop was slow)...
My dist is Sid architecture i386, kernel is amd64.

Hi,
I did a workaround logcheck rule file for myself:
bobek:~# cat /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/emptyline-workaround
^$
I hope it can help.
Cheers

Hi,
the bug #585352 appeared in #563706.
A primary problem is visible from shell output
of /usr/lib/rootstrap/modules/uml fortunately.

Hi,
I have just discovered this problem too.
The bug should be reassigned to the rootstrap package.
The rootstrap module /usr/lib/rootstrap/modules/uml creates static dev
entries using MAKEDEV (package makedev), witch is from Squeeze up no
longer priority required but only extra!
Simple workaround
Hi,
this bug can be merged with #534314.
I can confirm behaviour described by martin f. krafft. The bug is
probably in the binary /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin
witch is called when -no-oosplash option is used.
I have amd64 kernel, but binary architecture i386.

Hi,
the Fedora project solved the problem with HOME and sudo -i by the patch
attached (from package sudo-1.7.4p4-2.fc13.src.rpm), as I notice by
colleague.

I just took tools/libvirt-guests.init.in & tools/libvirt-guests.sysconf
and modify init script a little (remove bashisms) and put it on
a server. It is not final shape probably, but maybe it can be useful as
starting point...

Hi,
there is also problem with the reseting HOME & interactive sudo mode.
The old behaviour was, that HOME was kept in common use e.g.
sudo xlogo
so $HOME/.Xauthority was accessible for xlogo.
And HOME was reset in the case of interactive sudo
sudo -i
and HOME is /root in that case.
