Sometime ago I had spotted a similar problem with the intro — there was a bug
in a glibc function (memcmp, as far as I remember) and it crashed libvlc right
after the intro playback star

I have a similar problem and I can confirm that this is a bug in Qt,
as this doesn't happen in Gtk-based applications.

After recent upgrade of KDE from 4.3.2 to 4.3.4 (in squeeze) it also hapens
with KDE's panel...
Tried XVideo and OpenGL video output. MPlayer works fine.
