interpreters
held by lintian, so that it does not spew 'unusual-interpreter' when it
encounters pbl
files. The interpreter will be installed to "/usr/bin/pebl", but most of the
scripts
use the hashbang line "#!/usr/bin/env pebl".
s seem to reduce
the work burden for all concerned, so in that sense, I would be keen
to join.

Yes, I realised these consequences after I had uploaded 3.1-4,
annoyingly. I am not around to deal with this bug until next week, but
it's a relatively simple change, so a fix shouldn't be much longer
after that.

Admittedly, a fluid-soundfont bug (whilst related) is not the best
place for this discussion, but a thought is all it is: it would be
worthwhile from a usability perspective to require no explicit
configuration beyond package installation.
