libcurl3 is back in unstable, and if I force xmms2-plugin-curl to use
it (with attached patch), xmms2 plays files from http just fine for
me.
Yes it works for a HTTP file but not for a HTTP stream. That's why
it's disabled.

I've tried using the lastfm plugin together with jack output. Playing
a local file via jack output works, but streaming via jack will result
in just quirky noises. It may be that the sampling rates or audio
formats are not adapted properly:

Could you supply more information? Missing files seems to denote that
it didn't compile. Please paste the full log of dpkg-buildpackage.

Playlist plugins are not uptodate with the current API changes.
Therefor they are disabled. Until this situation is fixed from our
side (upstream) I don't see how it's possible for debian to include
them.
