My problem is that I couldn't find the relevant lines in the log file. But

The driver and the printer work very well with a windows print server.

When I use Samba to share my printer (Konica-Minolta 2300DL) and open the
printer properties window (on Windows XP and
Windows 2003) I get very crazy values in the settings, e.g. scaling factor
34833 or Tab-Pages without text and so on.
