Bug#740412: Log files pile up only when user quits without saving

Dear maintainer, After a few more days digging, I noticed that a new log file is created every time the user does not save his changes. When the user saves his work and quits, all the log files are removed leaving alone the last one. I do not know whether this is the expected behavior or not.
