I have made a fix to the code but haven't tested it yet on all compilers.
There is one other problem that gives a lot of warnings with
some compilers that I am still trying to understand.
One wants to switch to C++14 if one possibly can.
What do I need to do when I am satisfied with the updated
Bug 812280 is an incompatibility between both newmat10 and newmat11
and the latest version of the C++ standard and is detected by both GCC 6 and
the latest version of Microsoft's C++. Its effect on users is pretty
minor but it needs fixing which I will do.

I suspect I don't know enough to load g++-6 and possibly it is too
risky. In any
case it doesn't want to load and there seem to be dependencies that can't
be found.
