There is no problem with debdelta. But lynx doesn't seem to download files
correctly. The error messages I reported (from debpatch) were correct. This bug
needs to be moved to lynx-cur. Someone please do it as I don't know how to.

After reading the Ubuntu bug report (#794642) I found that this Debian bug is
also due to the SATA mode in my computer being set to IDE. When this is changed
to AHCI the problem vanishes: /dev/cdrom appears.
