I experienced the same crash today. I have the Lenovo t470p with the
i915 (Intel HD 630 graphics) and the NVIDIA 940MX dedicated graphics
card. I statically switch between intel and nvidia with xrandr and sddm
scrpts (using
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers/Optim
hope it's possible to pull 19.08 soon to testing (or at least sid).

I can confirm that i fixed the issue after consulting with some support
over at the #virt channel on OFTC.
The issue was that the libvirt system user account (libvirt-qemu) was
not a member of the plugdev group, which owns /dev/kvm.
After adding the libvirt-qemu to the plugd
