In the installer the option to check if the install media is intact using
hashsums should be the very first step. Currently it's among the last steps.
People will now end up installing from broken media and will get all kind of
stran
[!!] configure the package manager -- apt configuration problem -- an attempt
to configure apt to install additional packages from the CD failed.
(When the install originally failed, I powered down the machine and went for
lunch. Then I had the idea and removed the modem and started the machine

I submitted a bug via email with first line " Package:palapeli" (notice the
whitespace, from copy/pasta from my browser) and got a reply that no such
package, go fsck yourself.
Resubmitting without the two extraneous spaces worked...
Perhaps the package line could be a
Package: palapeli

Goto
http://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all&keywords=palapeli
and pick the package from any suite and then click the link for copyright
file. You will not find palapeli mentioned there. There should be palapeli (c)
year name.
