After doing an apt-get dist-upgrade of Sid last night, Firefox does this:

However, this is not a Firefox problem - the same behaviour (fonts missing
that appear while highlit, then disappear again with n
e older prism2 modules.
Deleting those last three lines from wlan-ng.conf and restarting
the hotplug services solves the problem, and now my wireless lan
works correctly right away.
My laptop is a Knoppix-3.7 install that has been upgraded to
Debian Sid.
