I'm getting the same results with BH-905 and the same SW versions. It
was working perfectly with previous versions. I wonder if it's working
with other headsets because there are so few reports about identical
problems.

It's reproducible on Debian Wheezy (Oct 27th).. Probably KDE users
suffer from this while gnome users don't notice it. Manually
installing gnome-icon-theme package makes blueman work. How about
adding dependency to that package?
