I usually have kontact running when beeing logged on. When i download a

(which is executed by a small shell script).
this only works if kontact is NOT running, which is uncomfortable.

i simply purged the psad package and re-installed it again (without getting the
deb files, so the pre-downloaded ones have been used).
after that psad came up and it's working now. i still didn't change the kmsgsd
config file.

now i had time to investigate the problem. the thing is, that the
exif-resolution is very often returned as a fraction number. the error in the
script is, that this fraction isn't calculated, only the top value of the
fraction was used, which resulted in a *very* big tmp file when executing the

the thing i changed recently was the 'composite' extension. i disabled it, and
now rdesktop works great again.
I'm using nvidias accelerated X driver, an a self-compiled debian 2.6.12-10
kernel.
