When I press the Print Screen key (the key located above the Num Lock key), a
copy of the the screen is not sent to the printer. A local copy is saved in my
home directory instead.

All combo boxes under gtk 3 attempt to open in the very far upper-left hand
corner of the screen. Maybe you can see part of the combo box, and maybe you
can't.
