This bug came up in the Gentoo release of convertfs as well, and some
people came up with explanations and a hack to speed devremap up.

Package: convertfsVersion: 20050113-1I have been running the "devremap" stage of convertfs for two days now, and it says it is currently relocationg a block group at 1030190. Looking at the source code and a hex dump of the partition, the convertfs superblock on my 250GB partition says that the bl
This bug is quite nasty, no joke. It blew away several directories on my original filesystem when a random error occurred,
but no important data was lost before I caught it. Please check that the original filesystem has unmounted from $tmp before silently rm -rf'ing $tmp!
This package does not seem to support the "nostrip" string in
DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS.

I don't think the crash from glibc has anything to do with the /dev/fd0*
warnings, since they appear even when the crash is worked around as per
my previous message.

I've found that this bug only occurs when there is no volume specified
in the config. If you work around it by creating a volume, you can get
a basilisk2 emulation window, but the program still crashes after with a
SIGSEGV.

The latest version (basilisk2-0.9.20050730) builds. However, the binary
crashes on every run (see new bug #337496). This applies to the
official package too.

Could somebody please fix this bug? It just took a good chunk of time
out of my day tracking this issue down. This is a serious usability
issue.
