it's just (in my opinion)
terrible discoverability of the Gnome status bar.

Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading to jessie, I no longer see the Sparkleshare icon. I depend on
it to tell me whether my repository has been synced. Sparkleshare is still
successfully running and syncing in the background, though.

I accidentally poked send before I was finished.
I'd like to see wheezy's lxc patched to avoid all the frustrations I had
trying to diagnose why their guest VMs don't work. It's fine to say that
unstable or testing has working versions but that doesn't address
brokenness in stable.

I see that the bug was closed referencing an updated package in
experimental, but this is kind of a big deal for running any distro that's
patched the CVE report (removed pt_chown) as a guest. =/

To follow up; I found an archived message that referenced PTY permissions
in LXC and applied a similar fix:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2011-February/msg00975.html
After rebuilding the package and installing it, I verified that the issue
is corrected. I'm attaching the patch.

The release of glibc 2.18 removes pt_chown to address CVE-2013-2207. Guests
that use that version of glibc thus cannot use PTYs rendering them useless.

Okay, I upgraded my kernel from squeeze-backports to

working without backports, let me know; otherwise I might not follow

The original error is gone, but now I get:
$ zhone
GUI init
x11-16 is not supported, fallback to x11
error loading /usr/share
I have the same problem. I have a fairly fresh Debian installation on
my Neo Freerunner.
