Hi Timo,
does the problem persist? I just setup an etch root and could not
reproduce the problem.

Hi Drew,
with t1-cyrillic the fonts are installed in /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/,
but the /etc/defoma/hints/t1-cyrillic.hints file lists them as being
in /usr/share/fonts/type1/cyrillic.
Fixing grace6 would mean to add a protection mechanism against faulty
debian packages, which would indeed avoi
Hello Fabiano,
grace already uses defoma, the Debian font management system. It can use
any Type1 font installed and registered with defoma, like lmodern for
example. The TeX packages do not use defoma, yet?
I will forward your message to the Debian TeX community.

Hi Meik,
you could also try to unregister the fonts manually, as suggested by
Steve previously:
defoma-font unregister type1
/usr/share/fonts/type1/linux-libertine/LinLibertineU-Re-2.2.5RO.pfb

Hi Sami,
grace fonts are handled via defoma, the Debian font manager. Please
purge grace6
dpkg --purge grace6
and have a look in /usr/share/grace6/fonts/type1
if you still have some files there, they must some leftovers from other

Hi Francesco!
grace 5.1.x is still maintained but, of course, at a much lower pace

I will contact upstream again. Evgeny is usually very responsive, so
there must be a misunderstandig somewhere. I will also consider
including it in Debian before upstream does.

Dear Marten,
unfortunately it is not possible to simply drop the gconf schemas at some
default location where gconf2 could find them, if installed afterwards.
Every schema needs to be registered with gconf2 explicitely.
gconf2 mainly depends on libxml2, libglib2.0 and python, which are

Hello Drew,
/usr/share/grace/doc has been replaced by a symlink, so simply upgrading
seems to fail. Try
dpkg --remove grace
apt-get install grace
A fix for future upgrades has also been uploaded.

/usr/share/doc/grace6/README.Debian
I will add a note to the man page also.
