1. Will you continue to package VirtualBox for Debian?
2. Do you anticipate making a backports version available for Stretch?
3. Do you recommend migrating existing VirtualBox images to KVM?

Hi Christoph
Thanks for tagging the bug as fixed in 3.1.9-1. I forgot to do that.
Any chance of seeing a fix for 3.0.11-1+squeeze1 in squeeze, or would
I be better off using the mozilla.debian.net backport?

that the init scripts provided by nslu2-utils are not supportable by
insserv. You had written the following in a previous email thread:

Sounds like a hardware problem. I wonder if removing and then
reinstalling the NSLU2 battery will solve the problem [1] (search for
rtc on the page). Alternatively, you could boot the Linksys firmware,
and then try the installer again.

We should also specifically mention Debian has a new port for ARM
(armel), and that Lenny will be the last release that supports arm.
Post Lenny releases will drop arm in favour of armel.

However, it looks like we should be able to find a solution that works

I just tested a patch [1,2] that was applied to udev to fix the
network interface r
t we could downgrade the severity of the bug. I'm not sure
where to put such a script in the installer though.

It's a bit of a hack, but it does now.

Interesting. Can you check whethe

Why has this bug been merged with #401263 ? I specifically separated
it out from #401263, because I became apparent to me that the problem
was different to the one detailed there. The patch posted to #401263
does not fix the problem I am seeing in the installer.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 4.0, kernel 2.6.18-3-ixp4xx.
There is a thread about this problem in debian-boot [1] since it
causes the installer to fail on the Linksys NSLU2.
