not supposed to be "stable" of course...

In Edit->Preferences->Library one can set a time for exaile to rescan
the music library for new music added. This is set to 25.0 in my

I used beep media player recently because of this bug.
But having a quick look now at xmms again it seems to work now.
(note it's testing, not sarge anymore, and I switched from kernel 2.4 to 2.6.11)

I am experiencing similar problems with my external USB harddisk.
Every access to the USB device hangs uninterruptible (D-state) after
switching on the device.
e.g.

After pausing a song, xmms always freezes on my machine when:
-trying to stop the paused song (stop button)
-trying to quit xmms
Means I need to kill xmms. Unpausing works without problems.
Using OSS, and no plugins are enabled.
