Dear all,
I just wanted to contribute to this ticket by reporting the same troubles,
experienced.on an up-to-date Squeeze system while compiling 2.6.31-rc4

The fact that passing --initrd option will not generate an initrd file is
uncongruous to say the least.

Hi Matt,
watchout, the latest firmware are expected to be incompatible with the Wifi
drivers included in Lenny (linux 2.6.26).
This is mentioned in the README file in the firmware distribution (cf.
iwlwifi-3945-ucode-15.28.2.8/README.iwlwifi-3945-ucode).
For example, the latest 2.6.26 compatible

Hi,
in fact, adept_updater does attempt to install sysvinit-utils package, too.
As a conclusion, out of the 3 tools, only aptitude behaves as expected.

Hi,
my sources.list files contains both testing and unstable repositories.
I am pinning packages from "unstable" to 99, and my default release is

Hi,
I have a i386 Debian testing and I experience the same kind as described in
this ticket.
It started appearing last week (around Aug 15th). It maybe related to :
- a breaking system update (I update testing packages once a day),
error is issued, but the expected new file is simply never created
on the disk or added to the project.
I checked the basics like low diskspace or right permissions, but did not
notice anything wrong.
Best Regards,
David Robin.

Maybe the author (supposedly the owner of owner of ejtaal.net) would
agree to license this script under Debian-compatible terms?
