I can reproduce this bug on Intel Broadwell processors by running "perf top"
and another cpu intensive process like "stress -c 8". Within 5 minutes, the
kernel reports an unexpected NMI:

This bug is causing major problems with one of our production systems.
Replicated queries are often garbled due to a poor quality internet
connection.

I spoke too soon. Just after I sent the last email, I was able to get
2.02.36 to crash using the vanilla LVM2 compiled from source. I was wrong
about the Debian maintainers being to blame and I apologize for the mistake.
Has this been passed on to the LVM developers for review?
