Yes, the solr-jetty package creates a symlink to something that should
be in solr-common.
This bug is a duplicate of bug 683854 (and 696347 and 717023). It is
fixed in version 3.6.2+dfsg-1~exp1 of the lucene-solr source, but

/etc/logrotate.d/rsyslog. (It doesn't seem possible to do this in
/etc/logrotate.conf due to bug 695002.) These settings included:

I agree the auto_whitelist_file_mode behaviour does not make sense, is
not as documented, and is not as useful as it could be. There is now an
upstream bug report and possible patch at
