This bug has hit testing, and it's a nightmare unless you know the trick or
switch to another terminal program.
So it's important unless you put a notice about the trick or recommend another

I've noted mldonkey won't show any errors on screen or log files. For
example, if my incoming directory is full it won't start but will end
silently.
I've seen mldonkey_server has two options not explained in the manpages:

Got more info. It's a bug in the alsa plugin. It just happens when using
dmix. Dmix allows to play several channels with a one-channel sound card
without using esound nor artsd.
